I picked this one up the other day.

1951 Tula Arsenal....This one was refurbed and the Soviet "BBQ" paint applied. It's called a "heavy refurb" in collector's circles, but they did give it a handsome laminated wood stock instead of reusing a tired birch stock.

Pretty nice.

It's basically a brand new rifle from 1951.
It has not been fired since the refurb.

They painted EVERYTHING! I pulled the trigger group and checked cleaned it up. The Soviets sometimes left out the safety spring on the refurbs and I wanted to make sure it was there....It was.

For an SKS it has a very nice trigger.

My son also purchased a WWII soviet uniform when he bought one.
He must be a reenactor. I have a WWII uniform that is in excellent condition, has a readable PQD tag on it, private stripes and Mark Clark's 5th Army unit insignia. I wonder what something in this condition is worth. Collectors buy these things up and hoard them.

Again, excellent furniture.

I have two kids who are reenactors.
