7 candidates have qualified for the second Republican presidential debate. Here's who missed the cut
The field for the second Republican presidential debate will be smaller than the first. Former President Donald Trump will be missing from the stage and will instead hold events in Michigan.

To qualify for the second debate, candidates needed at least 3% support in two national polls or 3% in one national poll as well as two polls from four of the early-voting states — Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.
3%? My grandmother could get three percent and she's dead.
The White House hopefuls also needed at least 50,000 unique donors, with at least 200 of those coming from 20 states or territories. They also had to sign an RNC pledge promising to support the party’s eventual nominee.
Well, now that is good news for the eventual nominee, whoever that may be.
That means that all seven of those guy will encourage their dozens of voters to get out the vote for Trump.
Seriously, it will be a big boost for Trump in the general when DeSantis enthusiastically supports Trump and exorts his primary voters to get out and help Trump defeat Newsom or whoever. I look for him to play a prominent role in Trump's campaign, having pledged his solemn word to support him, like he did.
Eh . . . unless he had his fingers crossed?
