Well, I’m sure the MSM will be talking about this extensively this Sunday.

They won't, you say? Oh, why not?

...

The task force of over 700 members of the Tennessee Army National Guard’s 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment left Saturday morning. According to Hoodline:

The deployment reflects the U.S. military’s continuing role in building partnerships and promoting self-reliance in the Middle East. By maintaining a military presence, conducting exercises, and fostering defense relationships, the Tennessee soldiers aim to strengthen regional security.

Add this to the growing list of poor Middle East decisions by the Biden-Harris regime.

Sorry, deployments like this one are planned and trained for sometimes years in advance, they aren't dependent on current events. All States have mutual support agreements with neighboring States and can get aid from them when needed. This has nothing to do with politics or the election.

.

That's ridiculous

It's bad east of me

I went with a buddy a friend of ours asked us to take a ride with him to his elderly uncles

I'm dead we cleared a few trees all day. one was leaning against the house not much damage at all .we were able to shore it up pretty fast . we wound up helping out the neighbor also half his roof was shot ...uh boy .we were able to tarp it up

No power
We brought a generator...the uncle had two running the neighbor didn't have one he let him borrow it

They need help in east Tennessee and NC

I'm Sure the Biden /Harris admin is cutting whopping 700.00 dollar checks as we speak ...while illegals are walking around with full EBT and kitty kat yum yum bellies, cash cards, and semi autos
Trump needs to get his fat ass out there

The National Guard should never be sent overseas.

This is hardly the first time it has been done but it needs to stop.

So Biden/Harris can take care of foreign countries but can't even take care of our own borders? No surprise here.

The National Guard wasn't meant to be the "International Guard."

Did you whine about national guard deployments overseas under Trump?

We weren't being invaded from across our southern border like we are now.

Now scurry along and find some stupid chart that shows more illegal crossings under Trump.

You can do it, bro. :laughing0301:

I read threads like this, and have to shake my head as most people do not actually know how the military operates, nor do they want to learn.

And you are exactly right, deployments like this are scheduled normally a year or more in advance. As the unit being sent has to go through extensive training and preparation prior to being sent. Before our deployment, we spent over seven months of intense training preparing for it (and we were active duty and not reserves). Including two intensive month long field exercises in the months before leaving.

Hell, most times that is actually up to the Governor of the state. Ultimately, they are the Commander in Chief of the National Guard.

That is one of the reasons I ultimately left California. Seven years ago, over 200,000 of us were ordered to evacuate, and this was two days after the Governor was warned a disaster was brewing. The evacuation was a complete and utter fustercluck, as hundreds of thousands of people fled to fairgrounds and other locations, to be met with overwhelmed Red Cross personnel. And absolutely no National Guard personnel. During the entire disaster not a single National Guardsman was sent out to patrol the streets or assist in the evacuation centers.

And in Mississippi during Katrina, their National Guard was just as bad. Their National Guard was activated shortly before the hurricane hit, basically when the President called up their governor and said if she did not activate them, he would Nationalize them and activate them himself. That state had almost a billion dollars of equipment destroyed, because it was activated to late to move it to safety. And most of the aid came from other states that had activated days in advance.

If a Governor does not want their National Guard to serve a deployment like this, they can largely tell the Pentagon "No". But deployments like this go a hell of a long ways to improving the units involved, and gives them an extended period of active duty service that serves them well afterwards.

Yep, I was an AGR training and operations NCO, I helped units and individuals prepare for deployments. They don't happen overnight.

The dirty little secret is that complaints against the Biden/Harris administration and FEMA will generally be ignored by the mainstream media to the point that most Americans won't be aware of the failure of the federal government. Factor in the hate filled left that calls disaster victims selfish if they demand federal assistance.

Funny, but this report basically says you are lying.

Throughout the day Monday, constant helicopter sounds permeated Hickory Regional Airport. For countless people trapped in the destruction left behind by Helene, it is the sound of solace and help on the way.
Matt McSwain, a pilot from Mount Holly, is among those volunteering with the aerial rescue missions in Western North Carolina, a largely grassroots effort under the umbrella of relief organization Operation Airdrop.

Um no. That’s not what those basically say. They are not even my words, Einstein.

I don’t know what’s got you so triggered. I offered a couple first hand accounts. Take them or leave ‘em. No difference to me. There’s just no need to get your panties all bunched up. Maybe you should grab a couple fidget toys and take a break in the calming-corner?
