There was no "government takeover" of healthcare and there really should be.
We pay more than twice any other country and get worse heath care.
The only thing ACA did was prevent denials over pre-existing conditions.
ACA costs nothing since it does almost nothing.

Forgiving student loans would be good.
We would have better domestic workers paying more taxes.

All private insurance should be illegal.
They force prepayment without refund if dropped.

You do know insurance is a state-level concern. Always has been and always will be. Life, health, auto and property insurance is all regulated at the state level. The federals have no viable interest in regulating it on a national level.

If you want to get down in the weeds, it was because interstate commerce was involved, with students attending out-of-state schools and getting loans from other states. back in the late 70s, I went to college in Alabama but my one minor student loan was from a Kentucky bank.

It was a taxpayer-funded middle man added to an existing convoluted system. Another waste of Americans’ money. It only allowed to pass when it was deemed to be a tax. A tax that Obama promised wouldn’t be.
