A guy on another forum posted about Jewish "Clubhouses" and wondered what they were.

I drove through a Jewish neighborhood today, what's with the front yard clubhouses?

I was amazed at how many folks did not know.

I'm a religious idiot but even I know what Sukkot is......That said I did not know the name for the shelter.

The more you know!

I wonder if such a display is even possible in western Europe anymore.
I'm surprised they haven't been protested here.

That said the guy that saw a bunch of them did say that there were Harris signs in many of the same yards.

Hopefully they only put them up to keep the Pali/Hamas supporters away.

Either they were very clever or just refuse to learn.

Lots of brainwashed Jews who still vote for the Party that works to keep HAMAS intact.

A pergola with Jewish decorations? Not something you see in West Tennessee. I had never heard of a Sukkah, before.

My great-grandfather built his sukkah in the alleyway between his tenement building and the adjacent one. My mom told me the alleys were full of sukkahs!

What's up with the squash? Ugh, squash.

I've never seen those things before and grew up with a lot of Jewish kids.

Maybe they had them in their back yards. :dunno:

Nothing like that ever came up.

The only reason I knew about them was I had a childhood friend whose family were practicing Jews.

They made theirs of cedar poles and cedar branches for the roof. It smelt great!
Good choice if not wanting to use preservatives on the wood, and Cedar indeed smells much better than Olympic stains/preservatives, I use.

You’re supposed to eat your meals in the sukkah. A friend of mine is having a few of us over to her sukkah for lunch today.

It’s a great holiday.

You never heard of a sukkah? Are there synagogues where you live?
One, that I know of.

It’s the fall harvest.

As far as Jews having sukkahs, the most Orthodox always did. Most of the rest “”made do” with the sukkah at their synogogues.

I'm disgusted by that sukkah, and I cannot believe it is even allowed to exist.

How dare this person have a Blackhawks, Cubs, and Northwestern pennant next to one from the Packers.

Heretic.
