Welfare queens get $35,000 and that's how democrats want it. They want everyone on welfare and voting for the welfare party. Democrats hate working americans.

What Can New Pilots Make? Near Minimum Wage - Yahoo Finance

Feb 11, 2014

A widening shortage of U.S. airline pilots is spotlighting the structure of an industry built on starting salaries for regional-airline pilots that are roughly equivalent to fast-food wages.

Starting pilot salaries at 14 U.S. regional carriers average $22,400 a year, according to the largest U.S. pilots union. Some smaller carriers pay as little as $15,000 a year. The latter is about what a full-time worker would earn annually at the $7.25-an-hour federal minimum wage.

Regional carriers are a key link in the U.S. air-travel system. Big airlines, whose pilot salaries are much higher, outsource about half of their domestic flights to these smaller partners to save money.

The big carriers set flight schedules and fares, sell the tickets and buy the fuel, leaving their regional counterparts little room to raise wages.

Right wingers should rejoice then, seeing how they think workers make too much. More money for the CEO's. Yay.

I looked at a couple sites
For MAJOR airlines
Lowest wage for 1st yeat pilot was US Airways @ $21k, highest 1st year is Southwest at $46k
Experienced pilots, lowest Jet Blue @ $123k, highest average is again Southwest @ $181k

I knew there was a reason I always prefer Southwest

It all comes down to supply & demand. The regional pilot schools pump graduates out like there is no tomorrow, thanks to the availability of student loans. So there is a large pool of applicants for too few jobs. Now add in the military pilots who get out and have the same qualifications plus hundreds or thousands of hours of flight time and are looking for jobs.

Excess of applicants for too few jobs means hiring carriers can offer less money. It's no different than someone with a BA in Gender Studies or English being unable to get a good job because those degrees are a dime a dozen, but someone with a BS in just about any STEM field having a job lined up before graduation because not enough people enter the field in the first place.

Yuppers. So many people won't study STEM because they can't. They don't have the brains. So they get a degree in some easy verbal schlock like Media Ecology and wonder why they're now a SNAPPER.

Really? Then why is the right always complaining about how much union workers make? Teachers make too much. Auto workers make too much. Minimum wage workers make too much. The right wants "right to work" (for peanuts) states and rail against the minimum wage. I guess when the US becomes a 3rd world shithole where people only make a buck a day, things will be just peachy.

At least the right supports jobs. The left wants everyone on welfare so they'll vote dem forever.:clap2:

Hey loonybird. You can't prove opinions.:clap2:
Hey simpleton, when you state an absolute "no rightwingy ever said that" you are stating something as fact, not opinion.

The reason you can't prove it is because you made it up, just like most of the other dumb shit you post.
