Good advice for anyone: Always follow the directions.

Most times I do, but other times I don't until I've made a mess of something. Wellllll, I bought some nail polish with glitter in it on sale. The directions said to put on two coats of regular nail polish, then put the glitter polish on top of that. I didn't want any nail colors, just a little glitter on the for luck at the casino.

Today, I decided to take it off. Nail polish remover won't remove it. It was stuck on my nails like glue, which is probably what it is, and the reason for needing regular nail polish underneath. It took a couple of hours to get it off using one of those nail smoothers, and it isn't even off that well around the edges.

Always follow the directions.

If you did not want color, couldn't you have used clear nail polish?

If you did not want color, couldn't you have used clear nail polish?

I could have, but I really didn't know that the reason for using the undercoats was to keep the top coat from sticking so badly to your nails. That was not explained. If I use it again, I plan to use a couple of coats of clear underneath.
