American Idol 2025

I am normally not an avid fan of this show, but I saw some of it this past Sunday night and to me, the African American male who sang "Pick Up Man" from the late and legendary Joe Diffie was awesome! His name is Kam'ron Smith, and I would love to see him go all the way with him having such a love for traditional country music.



The girl that was shown near the end is from Blountville, TN which is just an hour away from where I am. Her name is Abi Bowen and to me, we weren't given enough of her singing and one reason is because she sang a song that is too slow. In my opinion, she sounds like she would do better on something that is more upbeat and fun and maybe doing a song like that would give her the courage to face whoever she is singing for. I am guessing that what made her sing with her back to the judges was her being so nervous.



The last person shown was a boy named Slater Nalley, and he sang an original song named "Traces Of You" which was written by him and his teacher. The song is about her son who passed away in 2016. To me, Slater has a voice that sounds like no one else.

^^^ I could be wrong, but I think that it was just once and that was when it was cancelled by the FOX network and then scooped up by ABC which is where its been ever since.

I was just starting to like this show. Then along came a girl named Sophie Powers tonight and I was only reminded of why this show isn't worth anyone's time.

P.S. As for little Ms. Powers, perhaps she is lucky that her bandaged up nose is still intact on that face of hers because after hearing her "performance", I only wanted to tear out her tongue and throw it in the toilet! If she isn't going to practice, can I ask what the point of her preaching might be? In other words, may the Lord have in mind a special plan for her behind. But then again, maybe she already got what she deserves. She was given a well-deserved "No." on the show.

Well, the first person that I shared a clip of in this chat was given his walking papers during this show last Sunday. What makes the moment worse is that the guy who sings with him during this clip was also shown the door. To me, that guy in the cowboy hat sounds just like country singer Chris Young and the one in the ball hat sounds like Luke Combs.

P.S. In my opinion, because of what the two guys were singing, three people got the finger flipped in their face, the two singers and the man who is most important of all: the Lord. In other words, may that man have in mind a special plan for the judges' kind.
