I was asked How I know that the people who would hurt wild animals, are exactly the kinds of people who can't afford a lifestyle that takes them around wild animals.

Well its because I been around them for 20 years, I seen how they treat the domesticated animals that they have access to, and I seen what they do to other people.

And I'm already at my first 10 far the fuck away from them.
I intend to double that, and then double that too and then give me another 30 on top of that.
And I'm 30 years old myself right now.

A lot of my wife's family are hunters. They are middle to upper middle class. All good people.

"Do to other people"?

What are you talking about?

are any of them zoologists ? just curious.

Country people, particularly the poorer ones, are quite indifferent to the welfare of domestic animals, yes.

I have witnessed that throughout the rural South for decades.

Not a single one of those murders were committed by, nor happened to anybody that earned $35,000 a year or more.
The victims are almost always on foot or on a bike and patronizing low income businesses, and the killer is almost always the same.
