Anybody Else Hate Nuts?

American walnut trees can be a pain in late fall when they drop baseball sized fruit when you are trying to mow the lawn. To access the tasty nut you have to get rid of the hulls and then crack a super hard nut to gain the limited fruit. Most people in the mid atlantic don't bother harvesting walnuts and they let the squirrels have them which creates another problem with the rodents.

Some of those nut trees get really aggressive in the autumn. I was just visiting a neighbor a little while ago and it was like a war zone there. He even had somebody else hit the deck when they were over at his house fixing something.
I used to live in the land of fruits and nuts (California) years ago....but I moved.
