My cat has her annual vet appointment tomorrow and right now the rules are that you can't go in with pets and I hate that because you wonder if you're missing out on something. There's a list of questions that we have written down to ask the vet to make sure that everything's alright with her, especially with her heart murmur,.. but still I worry since she's like our child.

Why can't you go in with them? Thats ignorant.
Unless it's a surgical procedure or you are dropping them off for an overnighter, I would not be leaving my pet alone.

I have four dogs and two cats and a great vet, I ask if I can accompany them and my vet obliges - there is a whole lot of back and forth you miss if you can't be there with them. Have you tried asking if you can go in with her this time

Yeah, it's a strict policy due to Covid and isn't changing until the beginning of July and she really needs her shots and nails clipped since we held back for awhile due to the pandemic. If we cancelled the appointment now we probably wouldn't be able to get her in until September. This is my baby right here btw. :)

She's adorable! I guess I'd beg...but if they won't give in, get her taken care of anyway. It's a shame :(

My vet still doesn't allow us to wait in the waiting area but rather in the car, but we can go in with our animals. I just had one cat and one dog in.

I would be worried if I were you. The last time I dropped off my Great Pyrenees, they thought it would be funny to graft on more legs.

She'll be alright. Trust the vet. It's hard for them too because your not in there to ask questions to.
So they are more likely to come out and ask questions, you can ask questions.
You just won't be in the room, or even in the building. You may have to just wait outside.
That way if they have questions they know where you are.
Don't worry.

Well, Jessie went to the vet today and she has a clean bill of health!! :D Not only that, but she doesn't even have a heart murmur. Turns out that her heart is perfectly fine and the vet thinks that she was just really nervous last time she went in so that's why it sounded like that and so she is a purrfectly healthy cat and hopefully she'll live a long full life now. :)
