At least two women in Georgia died after they couldn’t access legal abortions and timely medical care in their state

Yet you’re the one that just posted a story proving it does happen and is thus true.

:smoke:

a very rare side effect that can occur, but not as often as you want to peddle - hence the TWENTY YEAR TRACK RECORD of safety already on the books.

Lemme See

Dobbs was decided in June 2022

1MM abortion performed per year since then

2 deaths since then which even if due to abortion, means 2/2,400,000

Ya think men who volunteer to serve in the armed forces should be able to “abort” their duty if called up to fight in a war?

I’m sure all the left wingers would see no problem with that.

Men are used far more unfairly than women.

We all have roles to play. One just wants the upside without dealing with the possible downside of their decision.

There are no abortion prohibitions in Georgia (or any state) to save the life of the mother, so something else must be going on.
This. On page one. This thread went 14 pages without people seeing the obvious. Hell, people could have figured it out on their own. They certainly should have figured it out half down page one.

This forum is going to be hilarious!

It is clear when the issue is an abortion is done when the mother's life is in danger. None of the 50 states prohibit that.
No. What is clear is that the ambiguity has lead to the senseless deaths of two women who would still be alive if Trump had not been elected.

Nobody in their right mind (MAGA need not apply) would be okay with a 12 y/o adopting a baby. So nobody should be wanting a 12 y/o to have a baby.

But that is where we are as a nation...MAGA idiots have made the US a lesser nation and will continue to do so.

A twelve year old can’t consent. Rape is excluded in these bans.

So I guess this means a 13 y/o can....

Would you be okay with a 13 y/o adopting a child?
Did you fail to read the article. It specifically said the ban has an exclusion for rape.

Oh, let’s do a follow-up and see how loved the baby now is.

That would be awesome.

But amid confusion over what abortion care is allowed in Mississippi, Regina says she was unaware Ashley qualified for an abortion in Mississippi under the law's exception for cases of rape. Yet, even if she was aware, it's unlikely Ashley would have been able to get an abortion in Mississippi; with heavy restrictions in effect and the high penalties on physicians who violate the abortion ban, it is unlikely she would have found a doctor willing to perform a procedure.

Ashley, now 13 years old, is the mother of an 8-month-old baby boy nicknamed Peanut.

Regina and Ashley reported the rape to law enforcement -- which should have allowed her to get abortion care in the state.

Mississippi's strict abortion ban has narrow exceptions for cases of rape and to save the life of the mother, but -- caught in the confusion caused by a web of conflicting laws -- Regina says she was unaware her daughter could have qualified for an abortion in Mississippi under the exception. Mississippi has several conflicting laws and even experts, doctors and patients are having a hard time navigating them

Regina said when she asked about their options, Dr. Balthrop told her the closest abortion clinic was in Chicago -- with Mississippi boxed in by states with bans in place.
