He questioned authority and got suspended for it. But, the school board quietly put American flags back in the classrooms in question.
This young man will make a fine Marine. 🇺🇲🌎⚓

Why did you pick an insignificant story about Baltimore?

Race baiting 101.

It didn't say why he was suspended. Did it?

No to clarify why he was suspended and almost trespassed. I am not disbelieving the student.

When the kids were going to school they had the US and Texas flags.

How? The school district is too cowardly to give a statement to the media.

Unfortunately (which I disagree with) the courts have ruled that students do not have full 1st Amendment rights in school. Generally that is ruled on to keep peace in the classroom. I'm not sure that will apply here.

He did skip school but he is 18. I'm not sure they can get him there either.

It says he was due a hearing which doesn't seem to have happened.

Now there could be a huge piece of this story missing but if not, he likely has a good case.

That district has issues.

I've seen this type of response from schools before. They have always back tracked. One case I know of happened in San Jose, CA. I kid wore an American flag T-shirt to school in response to students who were wearing and exhibiting Mexican flags. He was told to cover it up and refused only to be sent home. He sued and was immediately reinstated. The same happened to a sixth grader in a Denair, CA school district. This student was flying an American flag on his bicycle. He was also harrassed. After it was publicized, this student was left alone as well.

Yet, teachers here at USMB don't see a woke problem in education.
