Block it for less than two months? What's the point?

That would probably make the price of electricity rise, seeing how 20% of our electrical generation is by way of coal. Biden has a long history of doing the most inappropriate things. Like Barack Obama said, "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to fuck things up."

Employment in the coal mining industry also fell, and most of the job losses were in the East. Since 2008, coal mining employment shrunk by: 59% in the East, down from 68,605 employees in 2008 to 28,314 employees in 2021. 39% in the West, dropping from 18,114 employees in 2008 to 11,115 employees in 2021.

Thats not coming back. US industries have been moving away from coal for decades. We have been moving to renewables backed by nat gas and Nu...QUE...Lr...

The you are not looking AT YOUR OWN CHART. Its declining.

As a note: coal mining absolutely sucks as a job.
Major reason is they are developing their own mining capacity. No matter, China will be importing a lot of coal for sometime.

Bidens move is a last gasp move from the climate clowns pulling his strings

I look forward to the next four years, when they retire the words "climate change" from the dictionary.

I am ok with mining.

You mentioned it sucks as a job.
One look at workers coming out of a mine was good enough for me.

I worked basic steel for a time. I've been in dark closed tight dusty places. Boilers, coal bins, feed hoppers......I feel for anyone who works or worked in mining.

Anyone doing that job should start out at $100 per hour. Awful.
