Fema will not exist "the way it exists today" is what Noem said. Trump would rather see the states take care of their own problems if possible.
States cannot afford to fix large scale disasters.

Ask the people in the Carolinas..... ....if a repub had been President OMG......
The people in North Carolina were doing just fine until their own anti-government hillbillies started to attack FEMA people. And they're still working on things with no help from Trump.

BS.....but hey thanks for making more repubs

What are you kids gonna do when the next hurricanes hit floriduh?
The same way they existed decades before FEMA was invented and since has malignantly transformed and corrupted. People recovered, neighbors helping neighbors cities helping other cities, people pulling up their own boots…

Remember all the individuals that volunteered with helicopters, boats and trucks that were on the front lines in North Carolina to get food and water to people before government could even respond or think to respond.

Fuck fema and the self-serving bureaucrats in it.

You must have gotten your news from The View...fricken idiot.

In the wake of Hurricane Helene's destruction down south, rumors have emerged that frustrated locals had physically attacked a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) director. According to The People's Voice, the director was acting arrogant and denied the help needed to flood victims. The incident reportedly took place in Asheville, North Carolina.

In our area, we had a devastating wild fire a couple of years ago that wiped out a couple of communities. They are still waiting for the feds to assist. They are survivors and most feel they will welcome the $$$ if and when they come, but they're not holding their breath.
