Did you know that:
  1. Until 1860 CO2 lagged temperature on both increase and decrease! In fact there is a 450,000 year long data set that proves this. Moreover at the times when CO2 is peaking, temperatures are falling and continues to fall for 10,000 years.
  2. Chinese CO2 is different. American CO2 is melting the ice caps, causing floods and fires (don't ask), causes the oceans to rise and started the 6th Mass Extinction (How Dare You! You stole Greta's childhood). Chinese CO2, because it enters the air on a per capita basis (again, don't ask, this is how climate science is done) is not the same threat as American CO2. Chinese industries must be left to grow and thrive and emit more CO2 than 2 USAs
  3. CO2 is terrified of a lab. Whenever called upon to show the temperature increase by raising CO2 from 280 to 400PPM, CO2 is MIA. This applies to both Chinese and American CO2. It just happens, it's killing all human life but has a Labaphobia.
  4. This thing all things devours:
    Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
    Gnaws iron, bites steel;
    Grinds hard stones to meal;
    Slays king, ruins town,
    And beats high mountain down. Can you guess the answer?

All I know is, we are all going to DIE!!!

No, really.

If only I were 12 again and could cry in front of the UN.

Can't go over Big Oil if you don't call every greenhouse gas CO2 whether it is CO2 or not.

Methane is far worse a greenhouse gas.

CO2 at the levels we are seeing now is really a no-never-mind and that is the reason all these stupid uneducated Environmental Wackos are having to fabricate data and lie about AGW.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong ... China and America are both in the Northern Hemisphere and carbon dioxide spins the same direction ...

It's AUSTRALIAN carbon dioxide that killing us ... them bastards ...

Oh I'm sorry the correct answer is CO2.

No, you're right it's time
Yeah, I know thanks.

You see, I attended elementary school and not only did we read The Hobbit and study Earth Science, some of us retained a lot of that information without even doing any of the homework. I BARELY made it through middle school, slept through class, did as little as possible in the way of assignments and busy work, but I did retain the information I knew I needed. So at the end of the year carrying a below 50% average I ACED ALL THE FINAL EXAMS with 95% scores and baffled the fucking teachers who had to pass me, and some of those liberal pissants were visibly pissed.

So I also remain aware that CO2 is actually used by plants and trees in what is called Photosynthesis. In fact when I had my first apt and some pot plants, I added CO2 into the closet by burning candles and massively increased growth and yield. Professional growers who had the best lights, real mylar walls and insulation as well as CO2 tanks set on timers to release bursts of the gas had the real game going on. Those guys got rich as fuck in the 90's if they didn't get caught.

Increased atmospheric CO2 does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but make green plants grow faster as long as they have enough water and sunlight. It's contribution to the "greenhouse effect" is marginal at best and ALL SCIENCE acknowledges it to be about 3%. Human beings, that means the entire species, all over the world not just white Christian Americans in the United states, but the ENTIRE HUMAN POPULATION contributes just 3% of all atmospheric CO2 on the entire fucking planet. That means even if the entire population of the the western hemisphere were to vanish as if we never existed, the amount of atmospheric CO2 would be reduced in no measurable way at all. The leftist war on a naturally occurring gas that actually has an insignificant impact on the climate no matter what, is a deliberate endeavor to control people, and reduce the quality of life for those they control.

It's asinine beyond comprehension. Yet I have the only real solution to global warming.

If everyone in western society who believes human produced CO2 went to bed tonight with plastic bags sealed around their heads and neck to contain their exhaled CO2 footprint the world would be a cooler place tomorrow morning. I can absolutely guarantee that is a scientific fact. Not only that but the collective intellectual value of humanity would more than double, as well as provide the planet with an abundance of nitrates and calcium that could be processed into fertilizer and used in lumber plantations.

Methane is far worse a greenhouse gas.

CH4 is a hyper trace gas with a far smaller warm forcing effect than the already very small CO2 warm forcing effect, to the point of trivial.
LOL if you want to call 84 times the heat per mass of carbon dioxide over a 20 year period "trivial" to defend the cult, feel free

Your ignorance is why you got fooled on that useless metric since it absorbs very little IR in the first place, the absorption area is in the very low energy part of the IR window. the TINY warm forcing number is well known, it is far less than CO2's small number, how come you don't know it?

Sorry ... methane has only a 15 year half-life in our atmosphere ... where'd ya get "over a 20 year period"? ...

Methane, and why the increase is so dangerous. Yes, the present half-life is 15 years. So that means that if you put a ton of CH4 into the atmosphere, in fifteen years, only have will be left, the rest being converted into CO2 and H20. In 30 years, only 1/4 will be left, same daughter products. Now when you add up the effects of the CH4 and daughter products over a period of a century, it is about 25 times as effective of a GHG as CO2. However, if you maintain the CH4 levels by constantly adding more CH4 as it oxidizes, then on a decadal level it is over 80 times as effective of a GHG as CO2. We have not only maintained the CH4 levels, we have increased them from 600 to 700 ppb to over 1450 ppb.

I note how many deniers here are so damned proud of their lack of education. And that lack of education definitely shows in their discussion of anything scientific.

Why don't you FUCK off with your stupid attacks, get back to supporting your claims of the previous post about CH4 overtaking CO2.....,

I know you will fail because you are making clear that you are just babbling all over the place.

From Wiki;
...
The atmosphere of Earth is the layer of gases, commonly known as air, retained by Earth's gravity, surrounding the planet Earth and forming its planetary atmosphere. The atmosphere of Earth protects life on Earth by creating pressure allowing for liquid water to exist on the Earth's surface, absorbing ultraviolet solar radiation, warming the surface through heat retention (greenhouse effect), and reducing temperature extremes between day and night (the diurnal temperature variation).

By volume, dry air contains 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.04% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases.[8] Air also contains a variable amount of water vapor, on average around 1% at sea level, and 0.4% over the entire atmosphere. Air composition, temperature, and atmospheric pressure vary with altitude, and air suitable for use in photosynthesis by terrestrial plants and breathing of terrestrial animals is found only in Earth's troposphere and in artificial atmospheres.

Earth's atmosphere has changed much since its formation as primarily a hydrogen atmosphere, and has changed dramatically on several occasions—for example, the Great Oxidation Event 2.4 billion years ago, greatly increased oxygen in the atmosphere from practically no oxygen to levels closer to present day. Humans have also contributed to significant changes in atmospheric composition through air pollution, especially since industrialisation, leading to rapid environmental change such as ozone depletion and global warming.

The atmosphere has a mass of about 5.15×1018 kg,[9] three quarters of which is within about 11 km (6.8 mi; 36,000 ft) of the surface. The atmosphere becomes thinner and thinner with increasing altitude, with no definite boundary between the atmosphere and outer space. The Kármán line, at 100 km (62 mi), or 1.57% of Earth's radius, is often used as the border between the atmosphere and outer space. Atmospheric effects become noticeable during atmospheric reentry of spacecraft at an altitude of around 120 km (75 mi). Several layers can be distinguished in the atmosphere, based on characteristics such as temperature and composition.

[One point of contention is how much on that global warming, i.e. it's actual measurable "quantity" actually happens and than how much would be due to human cause (anthropogenic) versus natural cause.]

[As the graphic/illustration above shows, @ 99% of our atmosphere is Nitrogen(78+%) and then Oxygen(@21%). Argon then makes up 93+% of the remaining 1% with CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) coming in at about 0.04% (400 ppm = 400/1,000,000) or one part out of 2,500 other parts!
Methane, though reportedly a 'more potent greenhouse gas, retains more heat(IR) than others, is also so small a component of the atmosphere that it is expressed in parts per billion, ppb, and works out to about 2/1,000,000 or 1/500,000!

To do a visualization, take a 2 liter soda bottle filled with two liters (2,000 milliliters) of water at 70degrees F. CO2 effect would be dropping in about 1/16 teaspoon at 73degrees F and saying it will raise the temp of the whole bottle by1-2 degrees F. Methane would be a volume equal to 2-3 grains of table salt and supposedly would also transfer it's heat across the 2,000 ml. Common sense and basic chemistry should show how absurd this claim would be.]
