"Wrap-tastic" is advertised on tv and in some mail-order catalogs as a solution to a common kitchen annoyance, that of difficult-to-handle wrapping materials, such as plastic wrap. The tv demonstration of this plastic replacement container for rolls of kitchen wrap makes it look like handling plastic wrap is easy -- but it's a scam. The thing does nothing it is shown doing in the demo.

Most kitchen wrap rolls don't fit the container. It takes two hands to pull wrap from the container, not one, which is no different from using the product's box. And it takes so much pressure to apply the cutter the cover wedges closed and is difficult to open.

Bottom line: Wrap-tastic is a brazen rip-off.
