Look, people will have a differences of opinion and the tone we have in a discussion matters a lot and many of you can’t hold a true discussion without wanting to be the one that is always correct.

My adopted brother is further left than I am but we hold political conversations daily to and from Houston and we talk about it all things from Politics to which woman is hotter and also men but one thing we agree on none of this is more important than family.

Family is all you have and if you let politics split you then you and your family need to look deep and ask what is wrong with you?

My almost 90 year old mother in law voted for this disaster we have now. She knows I support Trump. We still love one another and just dont talk politics. She is one of the few whose heart really is in the right place. She just doesn't know any better because she's been watching the same 3 TV stations her entire life. Even after we got her satellite TV she still only watches those stations. Its all she knows. She watched Fox News a hand full of times and then BAM.....right back to NBC.

I got no friends but my acquaintances know my views. Most of MY family are with me. Actually now that I think of it some long time friends are almost family and we are much of the same mind politically. We are all very busy and don't see each other much.

Have to be able to do that nowadays with families split and polarized. My brother hung up on me 18 months ago after HE started whining about Covid and how "Trump was killing people" and all I squeaked out was "He was paying attention and put travel restrictions on while ALL OF YOUR HEROES were knee-deep in impeaching him". And he swore a bit and hung up -- haven't talked since. Although I'm REAL tempted to crank call him at 3AM with a Let's Go Brandon chant.

Moral of that story is -- dont talk politics in ANY way -- and you can get along fabulously.. Even if they KNOW you're their mortal enemy..

I think I may code a computer program that will randomly call people in the middle of the night and just say "Let's go Brandon" and hang up.

My best friend of 25 years is a liberal and I am a conservative. But we never talk about politics, unless it's common grounds for us like we both hate illegals, both hate censorship, both hate mandates, both hate BLM, both hate criminals and love cops. We disagree on a lot of things but we don't talk about them and it's never been an issue for us.

I have some people I work with that are democrats but we get along ok. Sometimes they want to push a conversation with me but I just say "look we like eachother and have a good work relationship. Let's not talk about it because all that's going to happen is one of us (meaning them) is going to get mad".

The only liberals I can't be friends with are the new breed of liberal that are all about absolutes, extreme language, their way or no way, blame America first, want to treat blacks and trannies as special, and condemn anyone to the pits of hell that doesn't agree with them. Fuck those people.

I don't do politics because I don't think that either of the American two parties are right whatsoever. Both are horribly flawed and hypocritical.
So when I actually see a political party that stands behind the truth for a change (which hasn't happened in over 250 years) I will support a political party.

For most conservatives that is our outlook, they are just good people with different views. However some liberals do consider you enemy number one when they learn you don't subscribe to their politics like global warming.

My father was conservative all of his working life. When he got too old to work he moved to the left. The Democrats rhetoric of how Republicans want to take this away from you or that away from you scared the old man. He claims it was George Bush that pushed him left but I don't believe it.

Most creative people are leftists because you just about have to live in a different world mentally. There is a difference between a musician and an artist. Musicians play but artists invent. I found that many artists are leftists more than musicians.
