Be it Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden, and Trump Derangement Syndrome, one of those is really embedded in many minds. So I'm not really interested which president lives in heads rent free, I would guess it's Trump, but that aside, does it energise you to a greater cause or is it just sapping your energy levels?

I've kept it anonymous to keep your identity and condition confidential.

Neither one. The so-called derangement syndromes are made up by political partisans, not recognized in the psycho-analytic disciplines, and mostly used by partisans as a shorthand attack on others they see as partisans of the opposite stripe.

Is that your final answer? :)

Pretty much. I have always thought, people that use such political sudo-psycho BS are as bad as what they speak of.

No, they are real.
Some of these people are FUCKING CRAZY over trump. Unhealthy obsession.
Do you meet them at Lowes South on the 45 where you shop, or just on the internet?

Mental derangement goes as far back as Bloch 1952 I think, although Derangement Syndrome is recognised, I'm not sure in-depth studies have been fully conducted yet over the condition. But one thing is for certain, it springs up a lot around here.

TDS is at level 5.

There are people on here that cant talk about biscuits and gravy without mentioning the peaches-in-chief.
Its unhealthy and frankly... weird.
For example, I bet berg80 has an AI nudie of trump on his ceiling above his bed. I have absolutely ZERO doubts about it.

I get not liking someone and talking shit or whatever, but the obsession with that man is absolutely ridiculous.

With the people suffering the worst from political derangement syndrome ... The incident usually doesn't occur when you meet them.
It most often occurs when they go out of their way to meet you, and tell you what they think.

"Bad orange cheeto man is fucking ruining our country ... Blah-blah-blah ... Rant!!!"

"Uh, yeah ... Okay chief ... What aisle did you say the painter's tape was on?
Never mind ... I'll find it myself." ... :auiqs.jpg:

It is generally due to access to information and a declining Middle Class. This information represents a double edged sword, a conundrum of sorts. It is an excellent development that the average citizen is getting involved politically and remaining more broadly informed. The bad news is that there is a great deal of information to disseminate and some people view the most extreme potential outcomes which impacts their own response. Thus, in most cases the reality is less impactful on their lives than they may believe.

30 Years ago the U.S looked away when allied nations violated rights as the information wasn't broadly available. Over time, decisions by the U.S and their allies eroded the massive Goodwill that America in particular enjoyed but I digress. It has forced America to look honestly at the world. This is why the nations who are most abusive want to ban and control social media, be it in China or Europe, whereas other nations welcome free speech, expression and transparency.

Today the same gargantuan volume of information is accessible by governments and it helps them immensely in making geopolitical decisions. Americans are no longer naive about how some allies operate against their own citizens, be it Canada, England or Germany. They can better access what values they have which are genuinely shared vs those which their allies spit on. So politics will go also naturally ascend into overdrive everywhere.

Those who look at their own lives and prospects of their children more dim than other are going to be highly sensitive to any minor shifts, perceived or otherwise; in a policy ore politician. MSM has definitely fed into these fears to accelerate the derangement.

There's a thread somewhere on some totally irrelevant subject, and then BOOM, Trump and eggs comment came flying in.
.

That's the power of populism ... Where it may make someone popular ...
In politics ... And with the team mentality ... It's generally going to make that person equally unpopular.

Only recognized by political pundits.

As I thought. Those possibly obsessives are found only on the internet and are not a significant segment of society, at large.

When people start, trying to strike up conversations with me on it, in the aisles at Lowes, Kroger and Walmart on political extremist views, I will worry with it. But, not much, as I am usually well armed.

Indeed, instead of derangement, I feel loathing when politicians appear..
I'd like the politician better, if they just shut the fk up and did their real job of planning, creating and controlling for all the people in the various states, instead of their minority vocal supporters, but don't expect to see it.

Like you, I usually don't think much of it ... At least not until they start drooling or turn red in the face.

Of course, I have the luxury of talking about politics with like-minded people until we are sick of it.
I just remind myself that some people lead different lives ... And take the opportunity of an outlet to unload.

Maybe it's just a blessing I think that no matter what happens on Capitol Hill ...
The Home Depot is probably still going to be there tomorrow.

Of course, over the last few weeks ... You may not have to worry about a herd of folks on the west end of the parking lot ...
Waiting for a truck to drive by, roll down the window and offer a day's work.
It's kind of been a ghost town over there lately ...
