Short version.

Mans wife dies right after eating at Disney spring restaurant from an allergic reaction. Disney is trying to get the lawsuit tossed because of verbage written into the Disney+ subscription terms and agreement when he used the 1 month trial subscription.

Jesus the man is suing them for 50,000. It isn't like he is going for tens of millions. Why even try to fight it? They probably spent 1/4 of that just in legal fees.

That's really really low, even for a shitbag company like Disney.

Yeah, that makes no sense unless they are afraid paying him off would open up more suits against them

Disney should just run for President then it could do whatever it wanted without regard to laws.

the 50 grand is nothing to disney and better public relations just to write that check. but

the food allergy thing. did she know she was allergic to peanuts or whatever? did disney know what was in the stuff?

as a juror, i'd tend to give him enough to pay the emergency room , but not to go to disneyland. $50 k sounds close.

They want the precedent! If the judge finds in their favor they automatically become immune to suit by any subscriber.
