Does Scripps News lean left/right or what?

It's the only national news channel available to me via 4k antenna.

What kind of coverage can I expect?
This what Wikipedia says about it:

"Scripps News is an American news network headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and owned by the E. W. Scripps Company. It was previously known as Newsy, from its launch in 2008[1] until December 31, 2022.

Its content is available for free on OTT platforms including Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Xumo, Haystack News and Samsung TV Plus, in addition to streaming devices such as Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. It is also available for free on more than 300 over-the-air stations, as of October 2021.[2] Internationally, Scripps News was carried in Canada by RiverTV on channel 26."

The fact that Wiki didn't call them an "alt-right," "racist," "rightwing," "fringe" newsgroup is bad news for you if you're looking for a fair news site or right-leaning news site. Wiki always smears good sources if they don't align with the leftist agenda.

Your logic seems solid.
I will check it out. If all else fails I guess I can install the Newsmax app.

Kinda shocked CNN & FOX only offer apps that show reruns of shit that's already aired. Course they probably love that cable provider money.

Isn't that the one that claims to be non-biased either way?

I think they said they were going to do things the old way, just give the facts and not offer opinions.
That would actually be a breath of fresh air.

What I've read in the tiny research I did places them center to slightly left of center. No idea if it's accurate. I have also seen the claim that they don't editorialize very much. That claim seems hard to believe in today's climate

I bought one of those Tablo devices and ditched Hulu with live TV.
100 bucks for a dvr with a guide 2 weeks out. It casts a signal to any TV or Android without any subscription fees.

It looks OK, I guess. I didn't see they had a copy of the indictment posted, and that's big news today.

IMO, the reporting seems very "general". :dunno:

It's all they've been covering for the last hour as I set up my new equipment. Dunno about print but it's been Trump and the Dam explosion for the last hour on tv

I watch scripps news. They are pretty even handed.

Only downside to the Tablo DVR is it puts out a 1080p signal instead of 4k. But I'll get used to it I hope 😆

Just an observation after several hours of this being on in the background.

Much like CNN they seem totally obsessed with Jan 6th and Trump.

There are MANY other new stories from the last day or 2 and I've heard none of them.

Also while I haven't noticed any editorializing I have heard MANY "leading" questions as if to solicit certain responses. To my surprise most of the guests didn't take the bait.

Having said that the bait (implications) were made so the JUST THE FACTS mantra is BS
