As long as you read it as a book of men seeking God, and not the other way around, it's quite useful. That's also the only accurate way to read it, and it's not Literal, never has been, wasn't written to be, which is why trying to use the biases of old Jews to make modern secular law is DOA.

Old Testament: Genesis 2:24, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."
New Testament: Mark 10:7, "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;"
Old Testament: Leviticus 18:22, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
New Testament: Romans 1:27, "And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet."
Many of today's mainstream "churches" are beginning to allow "same sex marriage" or gay pastors. They are no longer Bible-centered churches but have chosen to appear popular with the world so that membership will remain high and the church CEOs can continue driving Caddies.
There's a special place set aside for said "church" leaders:
Revelation 20:10, "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

Nowhere in the New Testament is anyone commanded to dress like a modern Rabbi.

Nowhere in the new Testament is Jesus quoted as being anti-gay. Romans are Paul's ideas.

Are you bipolar? It's just that you seem to swing from one extreme to the other. What I did was quote Old Testament Scripture and the New Testament Scripture that complimented it. That's all I did. I didn't "swear allegiance" to Leviticus nor did I repudiate it. I quoted it. I quoted it so that you could see that God is and always has been consistent where the topic of homosexuality is concerned.
