What really gets me is that the US flag should never be altered in the first place, but nobody seems to care anymore.

The thin red line flag...is not.

There are very few unarmed people shot by police of any color for any reason per year.

Less than 1200 people were killed by the police last year. 229 of which were black. Which is interestingly 19% which is very close to the population percentage of black people in the US population.

Only 51 were unarmed total. Assuming the percentage stays the same that’s 10 unarmed black people killed by police last year.

All that doesn’t mean that it’s ok; however, it’s not the any where near as common as people like you would have people believe. In facts it’s extremely rare.
