With the exception of one week in June and a single day here and there, Congress will now be in session until their long August break.

Finally, we'll get to follow and learn the details of the one big bill I'm confident we'll see pass this summer. I've been looking forward to this process of getting the actual bill written and passed.

It will be especially good to see the 2017 tax cuts extended and hopefully made permanent. I also look forward to the legislative piece supporting Homan's efforts at the border.

Never discount the gop's ability to take something simple and fuck it up.
Lol, I'm going to discount that this time.

The GOP's previous track record in getting things to the finish line, has been a bit of a mess. But recent votes have shown Johnson and Trump, working as a team, can do a pretty impressive job of rounding up needed votes, even with such a small House majority.

I think there will certainly be some challenges along the way, but I think the current GOP congressional members are unified and motivated enough to get this big bill through. We'll know in a few months.

LOL....Hope springs eternal, I guess.

I have to have hope on this one. If they can't pull off this big bill/big goal, the whole party will be damaged and in a very tough position. I'd be so disappointed if they managed to squander this opportunity and hurt themselves that bad.

I think enough of them will be smart enough to see the ramifications of potential failure.

Oh, I suspect they will push it across the finish line with some RINOs kicking and screaming what with the mid-terms confronting them.....Continued power is all that motivates them and Trump has them in a box.
