food in hospitals …

how is it …

in your experience?
Awful. Our dining room is pretty good actually. What I always wondered was why the hospitals don’t get into the branding of the Blue Apron market segment. You’re here for your procedure. You have it done. You go home and you’re subjected to the same diet that put you here in the first place. Doesn’t make sense. Hospital systems should offer that as a resource. Have Door Dash or Uber Eats pick up Mr. Smith’s breakfast, lunch or dinner and deliver it. It’s caloric and ingredient appropriate. More than that, it’s a fresh, square meal.
Its amazing how many people show up who are both overweight and vitamin/mineral deficient.

NHS catering has come on a lot. It used to be a national service style diet. Now there is a choice of about 6 items inc veggie and then a pudding.
You cant have certain things if you are diabetic.
I cant eat hospital food though. there is something institutional about it,
They also have a staff/public restaurant which is very good. I had a great curry in Wrexham Maelor half way between Mrs T having our daughter.
The public let staff jump the Q because they didnt have much time. I thought that was sweet.
