Looks like prices have increased by a large amount from what I remember when I was working there in the late 90s. But I know they did not have that much inventory. I remember one of the fellows that I was working with bought a dozen oranges. The local got very hostile and were muttering at him. After we left we asked the interpreter why they were so upset. Turns out he had bought the biggest share of the oranges that the market was going to get in for a number of days. The interpreter said it would be five or six days before they got in another shipment.
