I think that THAT is their resoning though. The little Delta Smelt being part of the food chain, to feed the sea birds and such....

At some point we should have built more resevoiurs long ago.

Fishing for smelt in Lake Michigan is a big thing and smelt is good eating, but CA isn't and never has been an area where smelt were sought commercially or privately.

Jay Inslee and WA democrats are currently trying their damndest to remove four dams on the lower Snake River in WA. Their reason? Fish. They don't seem concerned that these dams provide flood control, irrigation, and clean power while helping to make shipping possible on the Columbia River and all of the jobs that are created because of the dams. SMFH. These morons don't think.

Money, there is too much money to spend. Money to build dams. Money to take dams down.

Dams, anybody ever see the land in California. Much of the land in not suitable for dams. The water leaks out.

Dams, do the people need dams to drink water from, shower, do are laundry or does 90% of California's water get used by industry.
