At least they let them at age 18 or older. Making that permanent change, when younger than, is the problem. Over 18, I don't care if you get horns installed and self identify as a billy goat.

Pathetic? What has this to do with pathos? It's the opposite of pathos. If a man likes to be called "woman" or likes to be called "no man and no woman" whose problem should this be - except a problem for female sportsmen? This is a law for only some few hundred Germans. But once a year everyone is able to change now the own resident registration data in context of the own sex.

I ask myselve whether I have not the right be a unicorn. A legal loophole? From time to time - very very seldom - I visit the rim of the unicorn forest and the unicorn there fears for the life of all creatures there at the edge because I am a dub. So I allowed the unicorn to control my body in case of any danger for whatever form of life.

As should we. If you are 18 and want to swing from a chandelier buck naked, that is your choice, just not to 7 and 11 year olds. And certainly not thru the public school behind your parent's back.

I just think that no country should encourage their citizens to make irreversible changes that eventually causes them to grow up to be dysfunctional, unhappy, suicidal, or homicidal adults. The purpose of government is to protect its citizens, not allow them to abuse themselves.

Back before it became a national political football, trans people could usually get their names and gender changed on their birth certificates without much fuss from what I was told by a male to female post-op trans person I chatted with. She said that was amazingly the easiest part of the whole process and she did it in a rather conservative area. She just filed a petition with the local court to have her birth certificate reissued and the judge rubberstamped it. It was part of the process she had to go through of living in her new gender for at least a year before they would do the surgery to invert her junk.
