While the battle for the House is expected to carry on for days as all ballots are counted, Republicans are poised to sweep a majority of the eight Democratic-controlled districts won by President-elect Donald Trump in 2020.

As of Wednesday afternoon, only three of those seats have been called. Several of the eight Trump-won districts were part of this cycle’s 22 “toss-up” races.

Awesome
The Democrats are too radical and corrupt for America.
We need to clean-up Biden's disaster.

The problem is this doesn't clean up anything. Supposedly with a Republican House and Republican Senate, and four years (all of what Trump will have left ever) they didn't make the US great. So what's going to change?

with a Republican House and Republican Senate, and four years

2 years & a bunch of RINOs.

The RINOs are mostly gone now & "russia collusion" ain't gonna work this time.

Back then Trump didn't know people in DC so he appointed a few people who sabotaged him...but now he knows who is who.

Get your popcorn ready...this is gonna be quite a show!

Well, we're rid of Romney, for one and have a majority within the Senate.
McConnell will no longer lead and Schumer has been emasculated,

And? You don't think there aren't another few hundred thousand of such people waiting in the wings to leech off the taxpayers and the rich who want to control everything?

The Dems took the House in Trump's last 2 years of his first term.

The single best thing that any administration could do is concentrate on finding ways to unify the nation as it goes forward. If after 4 years a candidate could emerge that draws 80% of the vote.... The administration responsible for that achievement would be the greatest one in the history of America.

Nope.

Too late.

The only option is success. Heal the economy, the housing market, the border, inflation.

No building bridges with the people who called us Nazis, fascists, racists, bigots, Hitler. Just ignore them. Don't persecute but certainly do not "unite". Just ignore.

THEY want to "unite" because they are wholly out of power and it's all they have left.

Too bad.

They lost.

It's a shame but I'm afraid they don't really want to unite. An old friend once told me something I never forgot. Never shake hands with Lefty.... Because when Lefty holds out his hand of friendship it's only so that he can hold you still while he stabs you to death with the other hand.

The Left probably does want to "unite" but it's a mirage--they just want to steal some of Trump's shine and some of his success. That's what they mean by "unity".

They don't deserve it and won't get it. They can hang around. We will "tolerate" them.

That's what they get, and what they have earned, and what they deserve. No more.

The nation wasn't unified in 1776, it wasn't unified in 1865 and it's not unified now.

You can't unify a nation without "brainwashing" the populace. In other words, you teach everyone the same stuff, make the general population all believe the same things. Like China, for example.

Nobody would get 80% of the vote even in that scenario. If China voted now the only way to get 80% would be to force and threaten or put up fake candidates who are deliberately bad and unwilling to do anything.

There have always been and will always be those to as you write leaches to suck the blood of the tax payers like lamprey eels and rich that want more. This has been happening since man realized he needed something to clothe himself.

Yeah, and the US system is perfect for it.

Washington ran unopposed as I recall.

As I already stated, Republicans now have both House and Senate, the Presidency and the most extreme rightwing Supreme Court in American history.

A wish list of a century.

All the power is in your hands.

Let's see what results of it.

The world is watching.

And an entire left wing politic dedicated to opposition....you almost forgot.

Yes, that doesn't mean the nation wasn't divided. The north hated the south and the south hated the north. Washington was seen as a figure of the war against the British, and sometimes people who hate each other, work together because they hate someone else more.
