Mexican cops and Federales make lots of money from illegals on their way to the U.S. Sometimes a few forget to pay them them off and they send a message, is all; just criminals killing each other. The southern border of Mexico is filled with buried bodies, has been for decades; this isn't even news.

The game for the Cartel enablers and supporters is to spin it all as the U.S.'s fault these crooks got killed by other crooks.

Or passage through the area. Even so, we went from General Cienfuegos handed back to Mexico who denied any wrong doing whatsoever to "protecting" the remaining five migrants over 12 cops.

To me it looks like a shitfest.
