How about a Firearms thread?

I've noticed there's a great deal of interest in firearms here and currently all posts about them are being posted to The Garage.

But sometimes the firearm posts easily dominate and other subjects are hard to see and explore.

So why not create a Firearms thread under Hobbies?

While you're at it, could we have a "Electronics" or "Electrical" or something under hobbies too please?

I asked the same thing, in my early mod days and was told it has always been in The Garage Forum. Dumb ass me, I thought the garage would be car and automotive repair threads.

I never noticed before, but this is how The Garage Forum is described:

I thought it was for motor heads which certainly is not me. I don't even change my own oil anymore.

The gun posts in Garage are really the vast majority, if there's nowhere else to post them then so be it, but electrics comes up sometimes and could do wit its own thread (please?)

OK, I live near Falcon Field in Arizona and often see all sorts of old planes, B25s, Hellcats and all sorts flying over.

I'm also really close to this place: Arizona Model Aviators - Superstition Airpark, and often see serious model planes flying over my house or close to.

Some of these are model jets and absolutely incredible to watch from my yard while sipping a beer.

No can do! We had one a few years ago, along with many other separate forums dedicated to specific car and truck models. The owner sold those and part of the deal was that we can't have sub-forums specific to those items (guns/weapons, specific cars/trucks/manufacturers). You get the idea!

Beats me. I would like to see one, specific on firearms, regulation changes, firearm ethics, etc.

I do minor car work, but don't change my own oil, as I have nothing to do with the spent oil and do not want spots on my driveway.
