Those that make the paper are a teensy percentage of those who put their lives on the line to carry out their duty every time they go to work and sometimes at other times as well. Only a teensy number of cops break the law on purpose or use their powers inappropriately.

I don't agree with that technically. But generally I do. Cops shit on people's rights all the time and they don't even know it. All because they were told to sit there, shut up and conform.

Plus, when called upon to testify in court, they do so honestly. And that last one is crucial. An otherwise good cop who lies about the facts of his or her investigation undermines the justice system.

But, IMO.........

the number of Corrupt Cops is Less Than 10%.
the number of Corrupt Politicians is Greater Than 75%.
