I think it would be a great lost to not use offshore wind. America has a great deal of offshore wind resources and the wind over the ocean is far more constant comparably to land. This allows less black out and a more constant stream of energy production. Why anyone would be against using this endless supply of energy is beyond me.

We're better off having offshore wind. I wish we'd build 50gw of it off the east coast and west coast. We could build massive underwater connects to transfer this energy to cities like New york, Miami, New orlands, Tampa, Houston, Sand diego, La, SF, Portland, Seattle, etc.

Absolutely .
Lets kill off as many fish and sea creatures as fast as possible to make the waters safer for us .

And scam as much money out of the Sheeple by charging them top money versus Nuclear .

Great idea OP .
And then , when we have ZPE in the next few years , we can convert them into huge surf boards or long rowing boat oars etc

They killed a bunch of whales two summers ago in NJ and this past year they killed a bunch more in Massachusetts. They figured it had to do with the blasting during installation. They also kill a massive number of birds in perpetuity. My question is, if Democrats are willing to burn down Cali. to protect the smelts, why are they so indifferent toward whales and birds.

Wind farms have been shown to add to global warming, particularly at night when they can raise the surrounding temperature by 1.5°

Offshore wind is not endless.

Offshore wind turbines break more often
Offshore wind suffer a larger power loss transmitting power to shore
Offshore wind is intermitten unpredictable
Offshore wind is 20xs the cost
Offshore wind leading edge damage polluted the oceans with micro plastics that fish and whales ingest
Offshore wind turbines break in less than ten years needing constant replacement

Where I lived in CA for many years, by Livermore, CA there is a pioneer wind turbine installation. They have had to replace turbines that killed Eagles among birds. As one drives down the freeway, the turbines clutter the hills. And we want that to clutter the views coastal residents like?

A great lost.

What an idiot.

I always use it.

A great “loss”, not “lost”

So now people are against wind. It does not get any dumber than libs.
