I'm beginning to understand why Trump is appointing the people he's appointing.

In order to accomplish his goal of rectifying the immigration system is going to need interagency cooperation. I believe that's what he is prioritizing in his picks.

While there are numerous individuals available who can certainly present Superior resumes they probably don't have a reputation for playing ball on a team.

The one really big difference between beginning of this administration and the number 45 administration is that I don't see all the backstabbing, leaking and sabotage that was already present in the 45 administration.

I think he's putting together a good team that has the potential to heal our broken government but I'm not going to underestimate the obstruction he will get from the crooked, entrenched establishment. They're not going to give up all that easy money and power without a fight. MAGA

Well at first I couldn't figure out what he was up to... I mean I'm also concerned with qualifications for some of those offices.

Then it occurred to me the part of the problem he had during his last administration was that a lot of the department heads he picked refused to work with him. The team he has now have been talking for a couple of months already .... they've been having meetings and planning to hit the ground running.

So maybe they aren't the top notch pics by experience but what he will have is the cooperation of all the agencies working together.

Yeah having John Thune is just like having Mitch McConnell... he's a stand-in for him.

Mitch I believe is working very closely with the Democrats and probably receiving some pretty hefty reimbursement for it.

I don't know how Trump is going to get around him, he probably won't be able to.

The idea that Trump has the house and the Senate just isn't true. Half of both of those bodies work with the other side behind his back.

That's what I am seeing. Trump is appointing people who NOT ONLY can withstand the scrutiny...but can fight back against it.

Did you ever see where AOC was questioning Homan and Homan just destroyed her with facts and statute numbers of THE LAW?

It was a beautiful thing!

In other words Trump has a cabinet of "yes men".

If they have too much experience in the swamp, they become the swamp.

One needs to consider all the damage Trump is having to mitigate....~S~
Well to be fair I no longer care about the past. Every president that walks into that office on day one has to cut ties with the past and assume responsibility for what is in his hands in the present. I'm not going to listen to anything Trump has to say ...Biden this or that...... I don't want to know what the last guy did and I don't care.... I want to know what you are going to do now.

It is not clear what how important experience is to a cabinet secretary. Lloyd Austin, a four-star general, engineered a disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
