Former President Trump is suggesting ABC News be punished for what he is calling a hostile performance by the network’s debate moderators on Tuesday evening.

The Federal Communications Commission does not license major broadcast networks such as ABC, but does license some local stations.

Trump has repeatedly attacked ABC for its coverage of him and routinely blasts the mainstream press as the “enemy of the people” and “fake news.”

The problem of major "news" networks acting as influencers rather than reporters of events (with a legitimate right to assert opinions, when clearly labeled as such) is one that deserves attention. The First Amendment, despite Leftist bizarre claims, does NOT give an unrestricted right to say or publish anything you want.

(B). It is positively bizarre when Leftists screech about Trump's "threats" to use expansive Presidential power, when they have expanded Congressional powers beyond not only the words of Article I, but beyond any rational extension thereof.
