In summary, whites evolved from other Caucasians and Caucasians resulted from a mixture of Neanderthals and out of African people. So, all whites are Caucasians, but not all Caucasians are whites.

Or something about the non African environment meant high melanin levels weren't needed anymore, and just naturally selected out.

To me the more interesting thing is how the Asian/Caucasian split happened, and how Native Americans play into this.

It appears that there are not many here that are interested in anthropology, archeology, or prehistory, but for me my theory makes sense. If you look at the difference between Europeans and other Caucasian people like the people of Central Asia, you don't see a lot of difference. That means we're closely related; we have a common ancestor.

We Caucasoids got a jump start in our adaptation to the conditions of the north by genes we inherited from our Neanderthal ancestors. These differences we Inherited were caused by mutation and isolation. The process applies not only to humans but to all life. Look at the difference between the animals of Australia and the other continents. Don't you agree there's a significant difference between the marsupials of Australia and the mammals of the rest of the world? That differs was caused by mutation and isolation. The same principle applies to humans. Human groups living in isolation from other groups of humans will eventually genetically drift apart and become separate distinctive group of humans.

If an alien species were to kidnap humans and transport them to a distant planet and they were to remain there in isolation for a long time, perhaps a half million years, and if we ever where to meet their descendants they would not look anything like us; they would most likely be a totally different species. People don't like to believe it but biologically there is no difference between humans and other animals, all life is constantly changing.

There isn't any solid proof all peoples originated in Africa, for one, and for two that pic that purports to show the 'evolution' of man over millions of years is an admitted fake by the artist who made it. There are limits to using DNA as a dating method, for three. As for the melanin thing, i.e. weeding out the dark for the white, that would take a lot longer than a few thousand years to do in great numbers, so that is a red herring as well. The nature of Earth's environment makes it entirely possible for peoples to have originated independently at various places around the planet.

A common single origin isn't necessary to demonstrate diversity. Just because a theory is popular doesn't make it more true than others. The LUCA theory is mathematically ridiculous. It's more of a political fantasy than a scientific one. The nature of human babies makes it silly to claim we evolved from a single mutated ancestor. We're essentially helpless for many years after birth, and believe it or not it takes more than one ancestor to stay viable and grow populations. Most animals destroy mutated babies. First let me make something clear there is no such thing as a white race. White is a convenience I use sometimes because it's concise and everyone knows what you mean when you use it. When people say white what they mean is people of indigenous European ancestry.

The scientific article I last posted made me more convinced than ever that we whites along with our Caucasian Cousins are the descendants of the Neanderthals and, for one, I am not ashamed of that. Why should I be ashamed of anything that I had nothing to do with and there was nothing wrong with the Neanderthals.

Out of curiosity a while back, I asked my wife if she was proud to be white and she said no. I was perplexed; I asked why. she couldn't explain why. She just said she wished she was mixed like I am. I found that very interesting. I have never seen any advantage in being mixed; it's like some guys that boast about their large penis, but I never found mine to be of any advantage. The conclusion I came to is that the culture that we live in must be sending out a message to the population that there's something wrong with being white; that is ridiculous. People of European ancestors did have a greater impact on the world than other people, but it' was only because they had more capability not because they were any more evil than any other people.

Voted 'other' because of minimal interest and there is no way to test the theory. It falls into the category of what made one dinosaur attracted to another to create little dinosaurs? Who knows? Or really cares at this point? It is hard enough to competently decipher history that can be studied without expending a great deal of thought and energy on that which cannot be known.

I do believe in Darwin's basic concept of evolution that produced horses we have now from the stunted midgets that horses once were and all without human interference in the process. The exact process for that to happen Darwin can't explain and we have no way of knowing, but the paleontological record assures us it did happen.

I believe humankind, like all other living species, has evolved and developed with different characteristics all over the world. And while that is interesting, knowing the exact dynamics of how we got from there to now isn't all that important to know even if we continue to be curious about it.

(And yes I believe in God, I believe God created the universe and everything in it, and He knows how and why everything happened that has happened. I also believe we mortals have neither the intellect nor ability to know all that God is, thinks, knows, did, does. And I believe we know only the teensiest and most primitive science compared to all there is yet to know and learn.)
