.....in Vietnam the USMC general wanted to work with the villages/people/etc....not so much as search and destroy like Westmoreland was trying.....and the VC controlled a lot of the people/villages...they weren't going to eradicate what was FREEDOM to the Vietnamese people.....same thing in America's Revolutionary War
--the French were the ''unwanted'' hierarchy in Nam and then the US were the imperialists ...just like the Revolutionary War and most civil wars, you have some for the oppressive/etc government and some against.....same as with ISIS/etc

I've been to Jordan and Israel. Of course Israel is a Western country, but Jordan surprised me. Very clean (unlike Detroit and Southern California). I was in the homes of folks in Jordan. They have very nice homes. Some areas of Aman smell horrible though.
