Joe Rogan earned my respect with his clarify of understanding merit. As a British friend told him, basically "resentment" destroys citizens in U.K

Just a beautiful manner in which he explained fairly complex social issues. Rogan hit the nail on the head when he said, I paraphrase here, that basically "those with energy and hard work succeed in America. Those who don't have the energy and effort complain when others do succeed. How dare they!".

He suggested that it is a unique situation to America that the energetic and driven succeed and it is true. He then went on to explain his work ethic in getting martial arts as a kid, it set up the base for the rest of his life. Believe this concept of Americas uniqueness. I would include Israel and Japan to a lesser degree in such a system of comparison. This is one reason Americans and Israelis get along. Democracy, meritocracy, freedom and G-d.

Rogan used a palatable example, he said that a British friend told him that in the U.K people do not like when you succeed. That is how socialism with a monarchy history keeps citizens in check. The caste is real. Resentment against anyone who dared to work hard and apply themselves for their own success!

Let me apply a personal example. We used to have a 2km course when in public school. It was actually along the streets and we could run it before school school started at 7 am start or something and for approx. an hour afterwards after the final bell. I had boundless energy. I mean boundless, in A.D.D category. I'd run this 2K course three times, so 6km BEFORE school even started that day. I graduated with the second fastest time in school history as it were but that's an aside :)

Then I'd go to school and finish my work without homework.

After school, I'd finish dinner and go outside and play hockey with my friends for hours. Sometimes in very cold weather while wearing a toque.

All of this was generating a base of hard work, endless energy and application that should have ensured my success in life AND for the country. Even in Russia or China they would have leveraged my drive, even if it would have stifled it and made me beholden to them.

Then the cult gets involved, especially in poor neighbourhoods. Sons of cops who were not the best athletes or best students who are now ironically cops themselves. You don't dare step outside of your caste because they are your G-d ordained "leaders" of the dumb, poor people. The city and provincial youth gestapo who become Stasi when they become adults.

In America you produce Edisons, Fords, Wright brothers, Howard Hughes, Musks et al. In the rest of the world they produce elite state controllers and career politicians who create nothing and take for their cults and family members.

It's beyond disgusting. There are few words for the manner in which these criminals destroy their nations. A tariff might wake them all up to realize how vital it is to have a meritocracy and to leverage your best assets: your home grown talent, regardless of their genesis.

Be proud to be American. You guys do NOT understand well enough.

Thank you for your time.

The first issue that American Founding Fathers addressed was the 1st Amendment to the Bill of Rights that guaranteed freedom of the press. There is no such guaranteed freedoms on any other country in the world. Therefore a reasonable assumption is that all governments outside of the United States have the ability to control the media and influence political discussion.

Free speech and a Bill of Rights. The premise that "all men are created equal" seens so ge rally.accepted right? It isn't though. The French and American Revolutions overcane the old, oppressive monarchies. China today is probably more of a neritocracy than Europe and their global offspring who bent the knee. The great equalizer is gloibal competition for the best, brightest and most innovative. Only through an inherent belief in eqality before G-d is this possible.

All men are created equal is part of the Declaration of Independence. Canada never had the courage to break from Europe and that's why it is so screwed up politically and socially.

The beauty and uniqueness of the American Bill of Rights is that it affirmatively states what individual rights are, and what government MUST DO vis a vis its citizens.

Government cannot tell you to shut up or punish you for criticizing government or government officials. It cannot shut down a critical Press or prevent people from gathering, even if the purpose is to criticize government. It cannot prevent citizens from owning firearms. It cannot force you to speak in your own defense, and it must provide an attorney if you want one and can't afford it. It can't impose barbaric punishments for crimes, and it may not hold us for long periods without charging us with a crime, or impose unreasonable bail. I don't think any other country has anything like this package of Citizen rights or constraints on government.

My own favorite is now "dead letter law," or seems to be. The Tenth Amendment states that the powers not specifically granted to the Federal government in the Constitution are reserved to the States and the People. This is why our national government doesn't get involved in EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, FEEDING PEOPLE, HOUSING PEOPLE, HELPING FARMERS, or anything like that.

Right?
