KFC Chicken Pot Pie

I remember visiting the US 30 years ago and KFC were busy making the worlds biggest chicken pot pie. It was on TV every night and I took my bride to a local KFC to try one. It was normal size but very nice. Mrs T wasnt overly impressed but I enjoyed it.

The Colonel doesnt sell them over here. We do have chicken pies tho.

Anyway Ive found a recipe and asked Mrs T to knock one up for me.

Im not sure about the recipe. Chicken soup seems a bit of a cheat to a pot pie purist like me.
Are there other recipes out there.

If you don't want to use the soup, just make a creamy gravy instead and maybe add a bit of chicken boullion powder if you want

I assume it has been shrinkflated like everything else at KFC in the USA now. As for the recipe, I doubt KFC doesn't use its own version of chicken soup to make it. Everything is prefab just about these days.

I dont understand why they dont sell them over here. Any pie is pretty much venerated in the UK.

LOL. I think Josh and Ollie from the youtube Jolly channel tried them once (and possibly puked). Anyway, KFC may not serve them pot pies because they are incredibly unhealthy with extremely high calorie and salt content due to the gravy mix. They are basically just the previous days's left over chicken, frozen veg, a powdered gravy mix and a pre-made frozen cap. Your nutrition nazis in the UK probably would march the staff off to the furnaces if they served you people something that tasty.
