I thought Putin was going to leave it until later but (in my opinion) the fact that he’s taken it so soon makes me think that he is preparing to finish the war shortly after the 20th. of January.

putin wants that gas and oil at all costs even though russia has billions of oil and gas, think about that

Without Odessa it won't be finished, but it's clear the front is crumbling.

Putin has it sussed out. He's got a couple of pawns lurking undetected and they are going to roar when least expected and seal the deal. He'll get the Donbas (as Republics or otherwise), Odessa, and render the Ukies "neutral" without NATO membership.

Uncle Pooty is in a tricky position .

He needs to quickly stamp out this new NATO offensive in the Kursk region so that Kyiv literally has no cards of any strength at any negotiating table .
From January 20 onwards .

He then has to weigh up advantages of moving west to the Romanian border , or being satisfied with his approximate present position so that his reserves can fully focus on any trouble, both in the Middle East and also on his borders including Romania and Poland as possible entry points into "his "new land area .

Good news is that most of the Ukey Brigade being trained by the French in France have disappeared ( AWOL) ,
BUT a NATO force is being dispatched to Romania with Team GB being put in charge.
No wonder Deep State declared the Romanian election illegal as the winner Georgescu is anti US and NATO and apparently independent and brave . Seems the US was unable to corrupt him .

I don’t think he wants those things, in addition to the coal and other minerals, so much as he wants to deny them to the west.

Odessa is the key to success.

I am of the impression that he can "stamp it out" at will. I could be wrong but I think he is several steps ahead of the West. My military experience is limited to only 3 years of active service (one year at war) and not in a command position but life itself presents us with many lessons. One of the many lessons I have learned is that boasting usually doesn't win the prize and sometimes downplaying your strength is a much greater advantage. It means that when the moment is optimal you can unleash your hidden strength for the KO because your opponent is completely unawares. Personally? I think Putin has a lot up his sleeve and when he finally pulls them out the Western “experts” will be saying, “Damn! I didn’t see that coming!:disbelief:

I don't think Putin gives a stuff about "new land area". Subduing Poland and Romania (read NATO) is good enough. As far as the Middle East goes I think Putin will get to that once the smoke has cleared over the skies above Ukraine but until then he'll keep his eye on the Middle East and discuss strategy in privacy with his military and political brass.

And that, dear Luiza, has put a huge smile on my face. No, that's not true. I am in complete joy! :) I don't like the French very much any more.

We'll see. If the UK tangles with Russia there'll be a lot of Brits coming home in plaster. It won't be a walk in the park like it was in the Falklands.

No wonder for sure.

I don't know if he is anti but he is independecnt and brave for sure.
Seems the US was unable to corrupt him .
It looks that way! :eusa_clap:

Odessa is the key to success.
The third key anyway. Odessa will be firmly Russian hands, make no mistake.

The Kursk second - time - around NATO offensive has been a failure .
In just hours the Russians blunted their advances and took back considerable land with threats to cut off a huge number of NATO troops from supplies .
It has all the hallmarks of another colossal Kyiv failure with huge losses .

Brave Ladies, why don't those NAZIS get their arse to the front? only thing that surprises me the bastards have not been shot.
It looks like the foreign NAZIs (let's call them by their true name, 'mercenaries') are catching most of the lead. The Ukies leave them behind. Maybe the wankers should learn the Ukrainian phrase for "Every man for himself!"

Guess I’ll have to check Military Summary, or to see what ground the UkroNazis have lost today.

I didn't even know that the Pa-Mana Kennel was up for grabs. I thought the SPCA had everything under control. Anyway, Putin will get everything he wanted from the beginning but Zoolinsky and the NATO chimpanzees will claim they stopped Putin from taking even more. And so it will be written in the Western History Books so they can raise another generation of dim-widdles who’ll tell their grand-children, “Everybody knows! I remember it like it was only yesterday!”
