A federal judge in Nevada on Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit filed in May by the Republican National Committee that sought to prevent the state from counting mail ballots received after Election Day.

State law passed by Democrats three years ago allows mail ballots to be counted as long as they're received up to four days after Election Day and the envelopes are postmarked before the end of the day. This year, Election Day is Nov. 5, meaning ballots postmarked on or before that date must be accepted and counted if they are received by election offices by 5 p.m. on Nov. 9.

I hope to never vote any other way again. It is simple and safe and secure.

I have to request my ballot using personal information that only I or an ID thief would know. It can only be mailed to the address on my voter registration. Once it is received and I fill it out there is a ID number known only to me that I can use to check the progress of the ballot from post office to country election board to being processed to being tallied. I have to sign the the inner envelope and that signature is checked against the one on file and if it does not match I have till election day to prove it was from me.
