Lots of people telling Biden to get out or laying down conditions for him to stay in.

CNN —
More than a handful of House Democratic ranking members told House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries in a Sunday call that President Joe Biden needs to step aside from the 2024 campaign, according to sources familiar with the call.

Jeffries held the call to take the temperature of ranking members and leaders before members return to Washington this week. The call was filled with deep concern about potential damage to the Democratic ticket and how it imperils the party’s chances to win back the House majority.

Jeffries did not share with his colleagues where he stands on the question of whether Biden should continue running for reelection, a source who was on the call told CNN.

The number of lawmakers who explicitly said Biden should not be the Democratic nominee was greater than the number who spoke up for him to stay, according to one of the sources. Among those who opposed Biden as the nominee were Reps. Mark Takano, Adam Smith, Jim Himes, Joe Morelle, Jerry Nadler and Susan Wild, according to three sources. Democratic Reps. Maxine Waters and Bobby Scott spoke in support of Biden, according to one of the sources.

But he doesn't have to get out, nor does he have to have any of their approval to stay in.

He's got the votes and he's got the campaign contributions. There's no reason AT ALL to have a brokered convention as long as he's willing to run.

The question is not whether Trump will win. The question is how gracefully with Democrats accept their defeat.

If your answer is "Better than Orange Man did," great. I hope that means there won't be any ballot dumping, no calls to BLM/ANTIFA to "fight back," no shenanigan with the courts to get the election awarded to Dems.

Here's Michael Moore. Guess what he says? That Biden is being subjected to elder abuse, and that we're being told not to believe our lying eyes.

He sounds just like a MAGA the day before the debate. What Democrats are saying now, is what we have been saying for years. Can any Democrat on here admit that?

Joe isn't going anywhere.

How about the 34 times convicted serial sexual abuse who stole top secret government documents and sucks up to fascist dictators and lies more often Nigerian scammer?

Shouldn't he drop out? His debate performance was worse than joes in every way except volume.

Whataboutism? After seeing the debate.

Biden is disqualified. Trump is qualified. The voters decide. Simple.

As soon as Trump wins democrats will be invoking the 14th amendment and saying that a convicted felon cannot hold office.

What utter bullshit! Joe Biden's popularity or lack thereof will have nothing to do with the down ticket vote. What a stupid, lame excuse. This smells like a convention of powerhungry, opportunity vultures to me.

Best opportunity they have in the fall is to stay with Biden who probably still has 99% of the votes he had last time around. People don't just abandon their candidates and turn-coat because of a debate performance.

Never have I seen the volatility and vacuousness of the left more on full display in a way I never expected to see it.

They’ve long known he wasn’t fit to serve, and never cared.

He opened the border, crashed the dollar, sent gas prices and crime rates through the roof, and they just yawned.

Now they’re afraid he might lose an election so that’s an emergency.

I just heard Pelosi on the radio saying that "It's the president's decision, but he needs to decide," to imply "decide soon."

Haw! He already decided. He's announced several times that he ain't dropping out. She and George Clooney don't like his decision, but he has made it.

I think the pressure on him might be closing in.

The Democrats deserve this in spades
