This isnt a new grift. Big Oil have been doing this for decades. An unholy alliance between University grifters and oil grifters with deep pockets.

Thus gives citizen scientists like the clowns on here their talkng points. And mow its all turned to shit.

How does an oil company get to veto research ?

Big oil has donated tens of millions for university research into emissions reduction over the past 40 years.

Louisiana is a big oil producer.

This article is crap.

What value is there to research that the oil companies can veto. ?

we have oil, still pretty destitute

i'm betting on dyimg before that, but when the river comes over the levee it is way too late to run.
Much of it off shore where the federal government controls the drilling... and Biden shut it all down... if he hadn't Louisiana would be fine...

Mainly because of dirty research like this.
the best answer to bad science is good science.

if american research is not repeatable in europe or asia, we merely continue to lose any comperative edge we once may have had.
