It is well past time. Trump has been extremely patient with both the Ukranians and with the Ruskies.

Europe has expressed willingness to step up and fill the vacuum that would be left by the opting out of the United States.

Or this move may prompt both sides to finally start negotiating as if they want peace, instead of wanting an endless war.

Can we just walk away from this crap? Getting involved in things that don`t concern us brought down the WTC and killed 3,000 innocent people. RR thought he was bad ass bombing Libya until they blew up one of our airliners over Scotland. One way or another, people will strike back and we`ll reap what we sow.

Trump has a short attention span

When negotiations went more than one day, he lost interest
Whereas Bide was able to focus all of his attention on . . . okay, the team that managed Biden was able to focus all of their attention on pouring hard-earned tax dollars into a country unwilling to negotiate for peace.

Biden built a global coalition to invoke sanctions on Russia and provide military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Trump is ready to surrender to Putin

Twelve page thread on this but I'll give you a mulligan because the other OP made it all about Trump when it was Rubio that said it.

Trump is ready to surrender to Putin
And the result has been a war which drags on and on with so many deaths.

Complain to Putin
I'm happy to blame Putin for starting the war but that doesn't mean it makes any sense for it to just go on endlessly.

Something in this war equation needs to change at some point. The U.S. has supported the war and now is trying to help negotiate an end.

I agree with the last sentence of the OP.

It's time for both parties to negotiate or for the U.S. to move on. At that point, Europe can choose to continue to support it or move on too.

A war with White folks killin white folks is golden to the Anti Colonialist Marxists , and must be prolonged at any cost

Monroevich Doctrine

Surrender what? The Ukraine is within Russia's sphere of influence, not ours, not Soros's.
The USA had initiated this war, via it's relentless GLOBAL HEGEMONIC POLICY - Putin nor Russia had moved Westward since 1990 - but the USA has been pushing and pursuing it's EXPANSIONIST Eastward Policy.

Just because some dumb, human scumbag called Trump - chickens out of this mess that the USA created, doesn't change the fact of the USA having pushed for Global Dominance since 1990, upon the demise of the Soviet Union. And the same guy who chickens out of Ukraine now - is loud-mouthing about getting US hands onto Greenland, Panama right up to Canada.

Obviously the USA only feels superior if they can kick some underdogs around - something they have been doing relentlessly since 1945. Once Superpowers get involved - see Korea, Vietnam and now Ukraine - the USA grabs it's tail between it's legs and runs off.

America First :auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:right! indeed the first one to run off

So in your equation, that is Ukraine surrender to Russia because Trump does not want to be bothered

Trump has to wait until the fall of Kursk. It is going to happen within a month but Ukraine has not stopped fighting yet. Trump described Ukrainian defensive positions around Kursk as a “cauldron”. There are only a few villages or settlements to take back from Ukraine as it was reported a week ago. Until that time, Putin is still buying time.

MOSCOW, April 8 (Reuters) - Russia is close to regaining full control of its western Kursk region after pushing Ukrainian forces from one of their last footholds there, the regional governor and state media said on Tuesday.

Russia's Defence Ministry released video of what it said was the recapture of the settlement of Guyevo set to dramatic music, showing smoke rising into the air from various buildings, a soldier waving the Russian flag from the window of a heavily damaged Orthodox church, and Russian troops carrying out house-to-house checks in case any Ukrainian soldiers were hiding.

Ukraine can make whatever decision they want with whatever support they can keep or round up. Ukraine isn't going to win this war with the kind of help they've been getting. They might be able to prolong it for more years at a huge financial cost to many countries, and far more loss of life. But they can't win unless a more powerful nation goes all in with a force which would have a definite potential for nuclear conflict - and that's just not a reasonable step.
