The GOP are losing primarily because of their inability to take a stance on your open border and fiscal conservatism.

The entire world knows the U.S is a one party system and they aren't gravitating toward you as they once did (it doesn't help that many of your allies are really enemies and you took the bait, hook line and sinker.

For a long-term solution, the Biden administration has repeatedly pushed a sweeping immigration reform proposal which was first introduced when the administration took office in 2021. Along with various expanded immigration pathways and technological upgrades, the centerpiece of the bill is a mass amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants -- who could apply for an eight-year pathway to citizenship.

That lying bastard also said today that the surge in illegal immigration at the southern border has “no” effect on federal capabilities to seize fentanyl.

Neither party cares

Carry on.

Republicans cannot even talk about the issue without getting the sadistic base all stirred up who make it clear they will never accept any sort of immigration reform that does not ramp up the cruelty.

So, let me get this straight, he does a terrible job, fails at what he was hired to do, and then wants congress to create new laws to take care of his screw up?

Seems to me, the proper recourse is to impeach him, get a new Homeland Security Official in there, and deport them all.

After everything that has come out with all this Twitter files garbage? He has no credibility, he is a criminal by any reading of the constitution, at best, he needs to be impeached, at worst, he belongs in jail.

The border should be closed. The immigration laws should be followed
We all know nothing short of a no compromise fascist reign of terror would satisfy the far right republican base. That's why nothing substantial will ever get done.

Here is another one of his colossal F-ups. This guy, NEEDED to be canned back then.

This guy is a joke, and destroying the republic, purposely pitting American against American, and having the Deep State subvert the Republic.

I'm not an American obviously so I try and trend less water on this issue. I've said before, what about offering citizenship based on merit for those who have been in the U.S for longer than a decade? Start with those who applied for the military, who run their own business, who have excelled in their communities etc.

A blanket amnesty law sends a horrible message and is sure to invite far more damage than good.

We promise when we send you home, we'll miss you.

Yes, when you are allowing too many people to break the law, and then the system has to deal with them - it's much easier on the system to make their behavior legal.

Of course, that ignores the Chesterton's fence principle completely - which in this case would be to understand why it's illegal before making it legal.
