me and Dubai

The local Emiratis have been friendly to me. if you do not know where you are you may think you are in India. many people from India here. Burj Khlaifa is must see. Worlds tallest building. The Dubai mall is fun to walk around. Huge fountains many shops. The gold souk is a must see. If you have money. Giant jewelry store. they have worlds largest gold ring. It weighs 58 kilos of 21 karat gold. No one has fingers that big. its a living room showpiece. The old spice souk is interesting but i saw spice souks in Cairo as well. it is similair in some ways to Cairo or Amman but richer and there are differences. Will post more later.

There is dark side to Dubai. I visited a womens shelter. Some left abusive husbands but most are victims of human traffic. Kidnapped from their countries and brought here to be sold or pimped to rich men. I do love Dubai however. very glamorous.
