Somebody please tell me this guy knows what he's doing and he's doing it anyway. Please don't tell me he's making an utter fool of himself by suggesting that eliminating payroll taxation is less advantageous than keeping it and getting a small amount of it back in the form of a refund check!
Is his audience that dim? Can he count on their ignorance to be so deep that they don't actually understand how payroll taxation works and what the refund check actually represents?
Maybe he's talking about the earned income tax credit? That's where the refund check doesn't come from your own earnings but comes from the earnings of other people. In which case it's actually not a refund check but a welfare check.
Clearly the left has gone out of its complete cotton-picking mind at this point.
