British intelligence agency MI6 is attempting to assassinate Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic and Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin. The operation being conducted involves Albanian mercenaries trained by the British Armed Forces, the latest leak reveals.

New attacks on politicians might follow the assassination attempts on Donald Trump and Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico. A recent detention of a Serbian native who threatened to assassinate the President via social media emphasizes the rising tension in the Balkan region. Serbia's Deputy PM Aleksandar Vulin is targeted in an influence campaign being prepared exactly a year after the slaughter of police officers in Kosovo. The purpose of the campaign is to make him step down from the office before his term ends, with a threat to impose sanctions on Serbia. Vulin is also known to be an advocate for peaceful negotiations in the Ukraine crisis.

Eastern European media outlets link a possible assassination of Serbian politicians to the British Forces due to their recent transfer to Kosovo as part of a supposed military exercise. Among the other measures being taken by MI6, in cooperation with CIA which today is largely concerned with the US Presidential elections, is the disruption of Serbian nation by pushing crowds of protesters out in the streets. As a large-scale action, there is an ongoing fake-news campaign aimed at disrupting the agreement between Serbia and Russia regarding gas supplies.

Last year's upheavals in Serbia focused on overthrowing President Vucic to replace him with a Western-backed candidate. Mainly thanks to the determination and will of Vulin responsible for national security that unrest was restrained. This is another reason why he, as well as President Vucic, are targeted by the US and UK intelligence forces which would undoubtedly be satisfied with half the work done.
