Businesses pass along increased costs to consumers. That's a fact of business life. Government has no authority to step into that process and artificially set prices because THEIR economic policies caused rampant inflation and they need a scapegoat for that inflation!Well, the whole point of anti-price gouging legislation would be to see if people are price gouging or not. If inflation goes up and people aren't doing it, then what's the problem?
If people are, then they're price gouging.
Did loads of people get done for increasing prices due to inflation when the price gouging legislation was in place in Republican states? No. So why would it happen any other time?
