Idiot Conservative admits the goal is punishing NC voters for voting early for President Obama

Steve Benen at MaddowBlog, in a post titled "How not to defend Voter Suppression", explains the obvious in a post written by Phyllis Schlafly, long time right wing crackpot who is clearly too stupid for subtlety. It isn't about integrity of the ballot box or voter fraud or other terms from the 1960s, it's clearly about making it harder for Obama voters to vote again.

Actually, you and the Dailykos are full of crap. That is neither what she said, nor is it in any way, voter suppression. Shortening early voting days would affect all voters equally, and therefore cannot be a means of punishing the Democrats.

What she said was that Democrat activists misused early voting to coerce voters into voting. The right to not vote is just as valid as the right to vote, if that is the wish of the individual involved. Blackmail, threats, rewards, harassing, and any other means to force people to do something they do not want to do, is wrong. No different than using coercion to keep people from voting.

Being that I assume that Democrats are just as smart, just as industrious, and just as invested in good citizenship as Republicans, I also have to assume that many of you left wing Liberal/Socialists don't have much respect for a large segment of your voting base. You obviously believe that many, especially Blacks and Browns, are somehow handicapped and unable to follow the same laws and standards that apply to Republicans, and "smart" Democrats, such as yourself.
